Pink Shirt Day is a hugely important annual event to raise awareness about bullying in schools, workplaces, homes and on the Internet. Each year, supporters proudly wear pink to symbolize a united effort to stand up to bullies and end instances of bullying everywhere. OLA Super Conference 2014

Orca has just recently returned from two great conferences, the ALA midwinter conference in Philadelphia, PA and the OLA Super Conference in Toronto, Ontario. There was lots of excitement about our hi/lo series for struggling readers–Orca Soundings, Orca Currents, Orca Sports and Rapid Reads–but there was also a general enthusiasm for all of our titles.
